Description
Issued by the Royal Mint in celebration of the 1951 Festival of Britain, this ten coin proof set is one of only three distinct sets issued during the reign of King George VI.
Featuring the second most scarce bronze penny - a mere 137,513 pennies of 1951 entered circulation.
The coins of this set are in their original packaging, though naturally some toning has occurred. The original packaging has gathered some wear and tear over the years - originally hinged, the top part of the case has separated from the lower part, and has a small patch of discoloration/staining.
